We do not share any of your personally identifiable information with third parties.
This privacy policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their ‘Personally identifiable information’ (PII) is being used online. PII, is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context. The following text explains in detail how we collect, use, protect or otherwise handle your Personally Identifiable Information.
Background:
SonorPlex provides interactive services to conference delegates. These services include: enabling delegates to individually mark moments of presentation content and re-visit those marks at a later stage, while viewing a video of the presentation. It also allows delegates to submit questions, vote and complete evaluation forms during the event.
In order to deliver the individualised experience (allowing you to create your personal marks and review them online post event) – we request delegates to register using any active email address. Your email address is not shared with any third party, and you will only receive communications from SonorPlex to inform you when presentations have become available to view, or to interact on other SonorPlex-specific matters.
When do we collect information?
We collect information from you when you register on our site or enter information on our site.
What personal information do we collect from the people that use our app?
When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your email address and create a password to help us deliver the individualised interactive services we offer. There are some basic versions of our service which do not require any registration or personal information, in which case your interaction with us is completely anonymous.
How do we use your information?
We use the information we collect from you when you register to:
– Personalise your “user experience” and to allow us to deliver to you the various services and features of SonorPlex (Content Marking, Question Submission, Voting, Evaluation).
– Send periodic emails specifically regarding your use of the service, including notification of when video presentations have become available to view etc.
Third Party Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties any of your personally identifiable information.
How do we protect user information?
All information you supply through our web application is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. We implement a variety of security measures when a user enters, submits, or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information. Your personal information is encrypted and contained behind secured networks. This is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required by law to keep the information confidential.
Do we use ‘cookies’?
Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the site’s or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. For instance, we use cookies to decide if you are already logged in, what event you are at and some functionality cookies etc.

We do not include or offer third party products or services on our website.
Aggregated Statistics
SonorPlex may collect statistics about the behaviour of service users. For instance, SonorPlex may monitor the most popular presentations or points within a presentation according to the “mark points” made by users. SonorPlex may display this anonymised aggregated information publicly or provide it to others. Personally-identifying information will not be displayed as per the previous policy clauses.
Fair Information Practices
In order to be in line with Fair Information Practices we will take the following responsive action, should a data breach occur:
We will contact the local Data Protection Authority (Ireland) within 72 hours of identifying a breach, and notify the users promptly via email.
CAN SPAM Act
The CAN-SPAM Act is a law that sets the rules for commercial email, establishes requirements for commercial messages, gives recipients the right to have emails stopped from being sent to them, and spells out tough penalties for violations.
We collect your email address in order to:
– Send information, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions.
To be in accordance with CANSPAM we agree to the following:
– NOT use false, or misleading subjects or email addresses
– Include the physical address of our business or site headquarters
– Monitor third party email services for compliance.
– Honour opt-out/unsubscribe requests quickly
– Allow users to unsubscribe by using the link at the bottom of each email
If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, you can:
– Follow the instructions at the bottom of each email and we will promptly remove you from ALL correspondence.
Right to access / Right to be forgotten
If at any time you would like to request the nature of your personal data held by us, or to request the deletion of all personal data you can contact us at info@sonorplex.com stating your request – we will endeavour to execute all requests within a reasonable time frame – typically within 7 days, at maximum 1 month from the time of the request.
